brass casket plate for the shipping of human remains via Wells Fargo, of unknown age or origin.
Item measure
s 3 inches by 2 inches.
This rare collectible is
in Very Good or better condition;
with visible signs of light wear and mild discoloration from time, well preserved for its age
. Note the criss-cross mark made by the original packing bands is still visible on front. Depicted is a metal coffin marker labeled "Human Body", a  meat wagon accessory for the transport of dead people in olden times. Two tiny holes integrated along the top edge will accept small screws. Plate is thick enough to be considered sturdy, not flimsy, and won't be bent.
