The Gravel bikes are becoming increasingly popular among cyclists. The advantages are apparent. They have a more comfortable geometry than racing bikes, are also excellent off the paved roads and are suitable for a longer journey. However, the conventional racing bike components reach their limits with these wheels. Therefore, Shimano has developed its own switching groups especially for this genus.
The GRX shift brake handles have a different grip geometry and surface. The upper cusps have been raised so you can not slip forward on rough ground. A recessed thumb recess ensures a firm grip in difficult terrain at all times. And so that even on rides with rain your hands do not slide back and forth, a grippy material was chosen, which also has good damping properties and thus increases comfort.
Especially in the field brings you the Di2 circuit great advantages. You only need a small click to throw the chain on the next pinion. This is fast, accurate and your hand can always guide the driver safely. You can freely program the switching logic and check the status of the system via the E-Tube platform.
Also, the brake lever was designed so that it can be stopped quickly from all grip positions at any time. It is bent slightly inwards and the axle the lever has been moved upwards. Thus, the ergonomics is improved and at the same time the necessary hand forces were reduced. In addition , the grip width of the brake lever can be adjusted individually, so that bikers with smaller hands are safe on the road. The Flat-Mount Brake Caliper improves braking performance and maneuverability in all conditions. Also, maintenance work, such as venting or covering change, are easy to carry out. The L03A brake pads with cooling fins help to keep the brake temperatures low, especially on long pass runs.
