My Dream Of The Big Parade was a song about WWI written in 1926. It was composed by James McHugh, a very prolific songwriter from the 1920s to the 1950s who is credited with over 500 songs. This song is best known as performed by The Peerless Quartet, an American vocal group from the early twentieth century.
Heebie Jeebies is a 1926 song written by Boyd Atkins and famously recorded by Louis Armstrong. During the recording, Armstrong dropped his lyric sheet and needed to improvise his vocals which led to scat singing in the song. Popular legend says that he invented scat singing in this recording, but this was a singing style already practiced by many musicians in New Orleans.
