Lenz LRC120 RailCom Decoder Local Address Reader LED Display ~ 15120
With this 4-digit display, the address of the locomotive can be shown in the monitored track section. Installation is possible at any point on the model train, e.g. also in a switchboard console.
    Dimensions: 47.5 x 65 x 12 mm
    Requirements for using RailCom:
Only the control unit / amplifier combination LZV100, a control unit LZ100 from version 3.5 in combination with the amplifier LV102 and the amplifier LV102 as a single device provide the necessary technical requirements for using RailCom. The reason for this is the "blanking gap" necessary for RailCom in the data stream to the track, which can only be generated by the amplifier contained in the LZV100 and the amplifier LV102.
The previously supplied amplifiers LV100, LV101, LV200 and the amplifier section of the compact cannot generate this blanking gap and are therefore not suitable for use with RailCom.
The operation of a conventional locomotive in the digital system is not possible when using RailCom because the RailCom signal is disturbed by the analog locomotive.
    RailCom & Digital plus
Digital plus offers the best prerequisites for recognizing the busy state of tracks and current switch statuses, similar to the prototype, and sending them to the control center, which in turn immediately forwards this information to the connected input devices via XpressNet. These status reports are particularly advantageous when controlling the model train via computer via an interface. The computer program does not have to query the individual states itself, but receives them automatically. This saves time and increases the response speed of the program.
If states are reported, this does not mean who triggered this state. For example, at shadow stations it is not only interesting which tracks are occupied, but also which train is on these tracks. For this purpose, the RailCom reporting system was developed for Digital plus: The locomotive transmits its address and other data to any point in your system - regardless of whether it is standing or running.
The RailCom system consists of a transmitter module, which is built into the locomotive, and an address display. This display also supplies the track section to be monitored. The RailCom transmitter module is already integrated in the new digital plus locomotive decoders, locomotives with already installed decoders can be supplemented with the LRC100 transmitter module
The particular advantage of RailCom technology
    - no components on the outside of the locomotive
    - No influence on the data transmission, no matter where the RailCom-compatible decoder is installed in the locomotive
    - Low space requirement, since the components are integrated in the RailCom-compatible decoders
    - no additional wiring
    - No separate programming of a transmitter module
    - Also suitable for use in small gauges
    - Information transfer regardless of the location and driving condition of the locomotive
    - No disturbing receiver components in the track system
